Local strike teams deploy to SoCal fires

Strike teams from around the Bay Area are assisting crews in Southern California.

Four strike teams from Alameda County, each equipped with five engines and staffed with four firefighters, are battling the station fire. Fire agencies in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties have also sent strike teams.

Additionally, firefighters from Union City, Fremont, Oakland, Hayward, Albany, Alameda, Livermore-Pleasanton, Newark and Alameda County are down south working to control the fire.
