False advertising leads to $3M CVS payout

Consumers will be getting nearly $3 million in refunds from CVS Pharmacy over unsubstantiated advertising.

The large chain recently took over Longs Drugs.

CVS has agreed to stop claiming that Air Shield dietary supplements can prevent colds and boost your immune system.

It also will pay $2.8 million in refunds to those who purchased Air Shield.
