Lawsuit tries to prevent Direct TV auto fees

On Tuesday, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge was asked to prevent Direct T.V. from withdrawing fees and penalties from a customer's bank account without authorization.

The suit claims that Direct T.V. withdraws as much as $480 from customer's accounts without permission.

The suit claims the practice has caused accounts to be overdrawn and checks to bounce.

The withdraws are prompted by cancellation fees when customer's terminate service before the end of their contracts.
