A recipe for a great homemade deep conditioning treatment using kitchen staples.

Home Deep Conditioning Treatment

  • 1 to 2 avocados
  • 1 Tbsp. Flax seed or rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp. Flax seed oil or olive oil
  • 2 - 3 Tbsp. water
Mix all of the ingredients in a food processor until it is creamy. Spread it into your hair & cover with a plastic bag for 30 minutes, then wash it out.

Shampoo for brassy hair

  • 16 Ounces Store bought shampoo
  • 1 Tbsp. purple (grape) Kool-Aid (the color balances out yellow & reddish tones)
Mix the Kool-Aid into the shampoo. Alternate your use between this mixture & your regular shampoo.

Protein Pack for Shiny Hair

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Separate the yolk from the whites and yogurt, & lemon juice. Whip together this mixture & cover your hair with it and a plastic bag for 5 to 10 minutes. Then rinse it out.

Side note: Egg whites with a little water mixed together makes a great gel in a pinch.
