Witnesses say the driver got into some kind of fight with Muni workers. He then drove his car into the tunnel and got into another fight with firefighters when they arrived to help.
They called police, who ultimately arrested the man. Muni workers used one of their rail cars to pull the Monte Carlo out, and checked the tracks to make sure there was no damage.
