Endangered owl released in Berkeley

A partnership of organizations helped save the owl. It was found in Downtown Oakland and had a rocky year -- missing lengths of his feathers, possibly as a result of the mishandling by a human owner.

The owl will live in a protected, fenced, assigned space with other burrowing owls, who normally spend the winter in Cesar Chavez Park.
