William Kamkwamba was forced to drop out of school during a drought because his parents ran out of money. So he went to his local library and found a solution -- he built a windmill that provided free electricity to his home and pumped water

Friday, he told his story today to students in Walnut Creek about how he found the parts to build his first windmill.

Now, Kamkwamba has five windmills and he has written a book and is touring the country.
