Police investigate double shooting in Hercules

Two boys who were shot at a home in Hercules on Saturday night are expected to survive, police said Sunday.

Officers received a call of possible gunshots at about 10 p.m. in the 400 block of Turquoise Drive and found about 300 people in the street and in a home.

They also found a boy who had been shot in the leg, as well as a boy who was shot in the rear end, police said.

One was airlifted to an area hospital and another was transported in an ambulance.

Authorities are speaking with witnesses and neighbors about the shooting and are asking anyone with information to call Detective Abetkov at (510) 724-1111.
