Police said Patrick Libby is believed to be in downtown Martinez and was last seen in the area of Ferry and Green streets, blocks from the Martinez Detention Facility. Police did not immediately confirm whether or not Libby escaped from custody.
He is described as a white man, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white and red jersey with the number 50, blue and white shorts, and white tennis shoes.
Anyone who locates Libby should not contact him, but instead call Martinez police at (925) 372-3441.
