Levi Strauss and Goodwill announced a new initiative today called A Care Tag For Our Planet.
Along with cleaning directions, the company will soon be putting a message about donating unwanted clothes on the care tag.
Its goal is to put billions of pounds of unwanted clothing to good use instead of into a landfill.
It is estimated that almost 24 billion pounds of clothing end up in landfills every year in the United States.
The new care tags will be available early next year.
