The power went out just after 2:00 am Thursday, shutting down everything except the tunnel lights.The outage even knocked out the red beacons that warn airplanes to avoid the top of the bridge's towers.
The coast guard advised shipping traffic on the bay to be extra alert during the outage.
PG&E doesn't know what caused the bridge, and about a hundred other customers, to lose their power.
The lights came back on just after 3 a.m..
