The school wants to raise $25,000 to help offset an $18 million budget deficit.

The small amount of money would be used to help restore a few of the 800 classes the school is being forced to cut because of state budget cuts.

"It is to raise money it is to bring people together but its also in some ways to express how absurd it is that an educational institution needs to put on something like a garage sale to raise a little bit of money," said board of trustees president Milton Marks.

The sale will be held at the main campus parking lot FROM 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
