Solano Co. hospital restricts visitors due to H1N1

VACAVILLE, CA North Bay Healthcare will no longer allow visitors under the age of 16 inside its hospitals in Vacaville and Fairfield, for the remainder of flu season. Officials say young people are at high risk for contracting or spreading the virus. Last week, a first grade student at Browns Valley Elementary died in the emergency room at Vacaville hospital, shortly after she arrived with flu-like symptoms. Her school remains closed, and will reopen tomorrow. Meanwhile, another school in the area reopened today. Vacaville Christian High School was shut down last week following a swine flu outbreak that sent home dozens of students and faculty. The school canceled its Friday night football game, which is now rescheduled for Monday night.
