Study links obesity to some cancers

The study by the American Institute for Cancer Research found that more than 100,000 cancer cases in the u-s every year can be attributed to excess body fat.

Among the types of cancer most strongly linked to obesity:

• 49 percent of all endometrial cancers
  
• 24 percent of all kidney cancers
  
• 17 percent of all breast cancers
  

The study was based on national cancer data and a report released earlier this year by a panel of experts.
