San Jose police ID suspect in May shooting death

SAN JOSE, CA

Investigators are trying to locate Hector Flores Arias, 20, who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Police said Arias is suspected of shooting Juan Mendoza, 22, outside a house in the 3300 block of Rocky Mountain Drive in San Jose on the afternoon of May 7. Witnesses reported seeing Arias, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, running from the scene after the shooting, police said. Mendoza was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
