Richmond Fire Dept investigates mobile home fire

RICHMOND, CA

The fire was reported at about 8:46 p.m. in the 1000 block of Parkside Drive and was extinguished shortly after firefighters arrived, Lt. Mike Gormley said. No injuries were reported.

Arson investigators have been called to the scene and are working to determine the cause of the blaze, Gormley said.

About 20 vehicles have been set ablaze in about a dozen incidents in the cities of Richmond, El Sobrante and San Pablo over the last month, authorities have reported. Investigators said earlier this month that many of the fires are believed to have been started by the same suspect.

Gormley said investigators will look into whether tonight's blaze is connected to the recent string of fires.
