San Francisco-based Well Fargo is reportedly shutting down more than 100 branches in California.

According to the Los Angeles Times, employees at the affected branches were told Tuesday and the actual closings will happen in April.

Most of the closures will be at Wachovia offices that are near existing Wells Fargo locations. Wells Fargo bought Wachovia last year.

The LA Times says employees are being offered positions at other Wells Fargo branches if they want them.
