Investigators today said they arrested Apryl Johnston of San Jose in connection with this accident last month on Market and Alviso Street. A Santa Clara University student was seriously hurt.
Newscasts showed grainy surveillance video of the hit-and-run, and police say that helped them develop leads that eventually led their traffic detective to an arrest.
"She was able to piece together several little bits of information which led her to the arrest of the suspect in San Jose,"
Johnson was released on bail and is scheduled to be in court next week.
