Five arrested for burglarizing elementary school

FAIRFIELD, CA

Officers responded to an alarm at about 4:05 a.m. at Bransford Elementary School at 900 Travis Blvd. They discovered that a burglary was in progress and arrested four people who tried to run away.

The fifth suspect was found during a search with a police dog and arrested.

An abandoned school computer that had been stolen was located outside and officers also discovered the school had evidence of gang-related vandalism inside a classroom, police said. As a result, the burglary is being investigated as possibly gang-related.

Fairfield resident Jovon Granado, 20, was booked into Solano County Jail for burglary, conspiracy and probation violation. The four other suspects, all juveniles, are facing burglary and conspiracy charges.
