BART service resumes after equipment problem

SAN FRANCISCO

The trackside equipment problem was reported at about 8:40 a.m., and caused the closure of the 16th Street Mission and 24th Street Mission stations while crews investigated the problem, the dispatcher said.

After running a test train through the area, crews determined that it was safe to resume service. The stations reopened and regular service resumed as of 9:30 a.m., according to the dispatcher.
