Crews are still working to stabilize the eroding cliff off Esplanade Avenue. They have placed hundreds of boulders along the base since the apartment was evacuated on December 17th. People who live next door say a big piece of cliff outside their building gave way Saturday.
One neighbor says a white pipe jetting out of the cliff disappeared.
"And, when I came out at 3:00 this afternoon, the white pipe was all gone, so we lost another five feet," one neighbor said. "By 3:00 this afternoon, I didn't see it, but at 10:30 in the morning it was there and now it's gone."
One engineer says it looks worse than it is. He says there is enough cliff side supporting the apartment building, unlike the apartment that was evacuated.
