Baby born premature back in San Jose

SAN JOSE, CA

The little boy was born in Houston, at just 28 weeks, while the family was visiting relatives for Thanksgiving. After doctors determined his condition was stable, a hospital foundation paid more than $20,000 to fly carter home in a specially outfitted airborne intensive care unit.

His mother is grateful for the help.

"It was just exciting I've never been on a private jet before, and I will probably be on a private jet again," said Jessica Johnson.

Carter was taken to Good Samaritan hospital in San Jose. Doctors said his weight is now up to five pounds, and he should be able to go home in two to six weeks.
