Investigators think Elizabeth and Wilmar Bautista helped their daughter after she ran over 20-year-old Lettie Martinez.
A judge put off a plea hearing for 19-year-old Jennifer Bautista until she can obtain an attorney. Passers-by found Martinez critically injured on Michigan Avenue in San Jose two weeks ago. She later died at the hospital.
Police say Martinez and Bautista had apparently been involved in an argument.
Prosecutors say Bautista's parents aided and abetted their daughter after learning she was wanted by police.
