Dangerous cross-winds in Southern California and Arizona are causing a major inconvenience for travelers. Southwest Airlines canceled 61 flights Thursday afternoon because of hazardous conditions in Burbank, San Diego, Orange County, Ontario, Phoenix and Tucson. Service to Los Angeles International Airport is not affected. 24 flights out of Oakland were cancelled, 22 in San Jose and 15 in San Francisco. The airline says it is hoping to resume service after 6 p.m.
