Motive for Santa Rosa murder-sucide still mystery

SANTA ROSA, CA

The bodies of Hsiu-Hoe Hsieh, 58, and her 60-year-old husband, Wen-Hsing Hsieh, were found by a relative in the family room of the couple's home on Valley West Drive in west Santa Rosa on Saturday morning, Sgt. Steve Fraga said. Police. Police were called at about 11:15 a.m.

The preliminary results of an autopsy Monday by the Sonoma County coroner's office indicated Hsiu-Hoe Hsieh died as a result of strangulation, Fraga said.

The motive for the murder-suicide remains a mystery and no suicide note was found. Fraga said Wen Hsing Hsieh had recently hit his head and was acting out of character.
