It is all thanks to the efforts of the residents of South San Francisco's Magnolia Senior Center. They spent Friday writing dozens of Valentine's Day cards to military police officers based in Fairfield.
In one of the letters, Ana Esquibel wrote, "Valentines to you, I am so lucky to send you this card. You don't know me but I love you. Do you feel it? I hope you do."
Esquibel has a grandson who served two tours of duty in Iraq and a granddaughter currently serving in the Air Force.
