The Mt. Diablo School District in Contra Costa County is considering ways to cut $21 million from its budget.

The most controversial proposal is a three percent pay cut for teachers and two furlough days per school year. The board is also considering increasing class size to a maximum of 45 students.

A meeting will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the district office on Carlotta Drive in Concord.
