A new study on breast cancer found in most cases, less radiation treatment yielded the same results as more treatment.

The research looked at radiation for women with early stage breast cancer.

Instead of receiving 25 radiation sessions over five weeks, half the women in the study received higher doses of radiation over a three week period.

Both groups of women remained mostly cancer free 10 years later. The study is in the "New England Journal of Medicine."
