Santa Rosa police say after being arrested last week, 50-year-old John Heglin was charged Monday with multiple counts of rape, giving a controlled substance to a minor, having unlawful sex with a minor and creating child pornography.
Police Lt. Paul Henry says Heglin befriended the girls -- who are between the ages of 14 and 18 -- with gifts and attention, then provided them with alcohol and drugs.
Investigators say Heglin also videotaped the alleged sex acts. Heglin is being held on $500,000 bail. Police did not know if he had retained an attorney.
