Vigils held in support of same-sex marriage

Those supporting gay marriage held vigils around the country today, including in San Francisco and San Jose.

It's an observance of "national freedom to marry day."

This comes exactly six years to the day that some four-thousand-plus couples began to tie the knot in San Francisco.

The issue, at least in California, is now tied up in federal court, and same sex couples want to bring attention to the fact they still cannot legally marry.
