According to a study by Gallup-Healthways, Boulder, Colorado tops the list. Holland, Michigan and Honolulu, Hawaii are next.
The Santa Rosa-Petaluma area ranks number five; San Jose is number seven and San Francisco is number 20.
The study evaluated metro-areas with a population of 1 million or more. Researchers asked people to assess their jobs, finances, physical health and emotional state of mind.
Huntington, West Virginia was at the very bottom of the list.
