Moonlight Snowshoe Tour
Cross-Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center
Thursday, February 25-26, 2010

Northstar® Resort offers guided Moonlight Snowshoe Tours each month during the winter season. Tours depart from the Cross-Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center at 5:00 p.m. and will last approximately 2 - 2.5 hours. Participants will cover approximately four miles of challenging, rolling terrain during the tour, however multiple trail options will be offered depending on different ability levels.

All groups will complete their snowshoe at the Cross-Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center and will then enjoy live acoustic music at a fire pit with s'mores and hot chocolate . Once everyone has relaxed by the fire for a while, the group will snowshoe down to the Village and end the tour at the base of the Big Springs Gondola. Dogs on leashes are welcome and sled rentals are available for children.

Please give yourself plenty of time to ride the Gondola and check in at the Cross-County Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center located at Mid-Mountain. We recommend leaving the Village at Northstar™ at least 45 minutes before your tour begins.

Participants should be on the Gondola by 4:15 p.m. to allow enough time. Snowshoes will be available for rental at the Cross-Country Center. Please note the March tours will leave the Center during twilight but will be returning under the moonlit sky.

Participants should make sure to wear warm and waterproof shoes and clothing. We recommend snow boots to keep your feet warm and multiple layers of clothing so you can adjust for your temperature during the hike.

Cost:
Adults - $35
Children - 12 & Under: $25
Snowshoe Rental - $5
