Man sentenced to 5 years for '08 Concord robbery

CONCORD, CA

After pleading guilty on Nov. 13 to armed bank robbery, 33-year-old Terrol Casborn was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Oakland to 60 months in federal prison, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

Casborn robbed a Mechanics Bank in Concord of $19,242 on Aug. 8, 2008, prosecutors said.

As part of the plea deal, Casborn agreed to pay $30,981 in restitution, which also includes losses to two other Concord banks he allegedly robbed in November 2008 and January 2009.

Casborn was arrested on June 13, 2009 after an anonymous tipster told police he was at a home in Oakley, prosecutors said.
