Chrysler recalls mini-vans

Chrysler issued a safety alert because of an air bag problem that could affect 355,000 mini vans.

The automaker says a crash sensor that controls the air bags may crack and fail.

The affected minivans are all 2005 and 2006 models of the Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Caravan and Dodge Grand Caravan.

Chrysler says it knows of no complaints or injuries caused by this problem.

Owners should take the vehicles into a dealer to have them repaired, but not until June. That is when parts will become available.
