Pedestrian hospitalized after hit by Muni train

SAN FRANCISCO

A T-Third train struck the pedestrian shortly after 9 a.m. near the intersection of Third Street and Williams Avenue, Muni spokeswoman Kristen Holland said.

The pedestrian was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Holland said.

Service was disrupted on the T-Third line for about an hour.

Bus shuttles were deployed between Armstrong and Custer avenues until regular service was restored at 10:02 a.m., Holland said.
