Police release photos of suspected bank robber

ALAMEDA, CA

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at a Citibank located at 2420 Santa Clara Ave. at around 1:45 on March 19, according to Alameda police.

A suspect had gone into the bank and demanded money from a teller. The teller complied and the robber fled on foot. No weapon was seen during the robbery.

Police and the FBI believe the suspect is the same person who robbed a J.P. Morgan Chase bank in Walnut Creek on March 1 and another J.P. Morgan Chase bank in Livermore last Monday.

The suspect is described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He has bushy eyebrows, and a full beard.

The robberies are being investigated by Alameda police, the FBI, Livermore police and Walnut Creek police.

Anyone who might have information to help the investigation is asked to contact the FBI at (415) 553-7400 or Alameda police Detective Hank Morten at (510) 337-8351.
