Unionized hotel workers urged tourists to boycott a San Francisco landmark on Wednesday as their contract dispute continues with several hotel chains.

"Don't check in, check out, don't check in!" chanted the crowd.

Member of Local 2 picketed outside the Westin St. Francis on Union Square Thursday afternoon.

Workers want increases in retirement and health benefits included in the next contract for thousands of employees.

The hotels issued a statement Thursday, urging the union to stop the protests and return to the bargaining table.
