Metreon theater manager convicted of embezzling $300,000

SAN FRANCISCO

Prosecutors said Kenneth Kintsley, 42, skimmed the money from daily receipts at the San Francisco Loews Metreon Theater between September 2001 and January 2004, and then tried to hide the fraud by altering computer records and his tax filings.

After a five-week trial, a jury convicted Kintsley of embezzlement, grand theft, altering computer data and tax fraud, according to the district attorney's office.

Kintsley faces a maximum seven years and eight months in prison at his sentencing June 11.
