Shooting prompts Kennedy High School lockdown

RICHMOND, CA

The lockdown was due to an external incident unrelated to the school, located at 4300 Cutting Boulevard in Richmond. Police were called after residents in a nearby neighborhood heard gunshots and reported seeing people flee towards the school.

It turns out those seen running to the school were students who had been cutting class and ran back towards the campus after hearing the shots.
