The CHP says 24 fourth graders from Richmond's Grant elementary were on the bus when it scraped a stump or something else next to the narrow, twisting road leading to the science center.
Three were taken to the hospital -- we don't know the extent of their injuries -- other kids, though, say they hit their heads when the driver hit the brakes and they were thrown from their seats. But it doesn't appear all of them were treated at the scene.
