He started at A&PI Wellness Center in December 1999, and has served as the organization's Director of Programs, Deputy Director, and Executive Director since November 2006. Lance previously worked as Director of Youth Services, Director of Prevention & Support Services, and Director of Psychosocial Services with Horizons Community Services in Chicago.
Lance also has 8 years of board leadership experience; spearheading fundraising and board governance initiatives in organizations such as the National Youth Advocacy Coalition (NYAC) in Washington, DC. Lance was also the co-founder of Chicago's Living Room Café, an organization that provides services for Chicago's south side homeless and marginally housed. Lance received his MA in Clinical Social Work at the University of Chicago, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.
