Buster Posey makes a great addition to Giants

SAN FRANCISCO

Posey started his 2010 campaign as a Giant with an RBI single and has been lights out since.

"It's been great, a blast. I'm having fun, and that's what I'm trying to do, have fun and hopefully help the team win," says Posey.

The team has won two of their last three games with Posey in the lineup as he is 6-12 with 4 RBI and a nice even 500 batting average.

Buster had been catching in AAA, but has been playing first base with the Giants. He's starting to feel more comfortable in his new position.

"I feel pretty good. The more repetition I get, the better it's going to be," says Posey.

Buster was 0-3 on Monday against Colorado ace Ubaldo Jimenez -- the league's best pitcher. It will be tougher for him than most, as he is seeing a pitcher he hasn't faced every time he steps up to the plate.

"In the minor leagues, you're facing a different [pitcher] pretty much every day. You're not getting to see the same people over and over again. So, I guess it goes both ways. It's an advantage for a hitter, but at the same time, it is a disadvantage that I haven't seen their stuff," says Posey.

There should be a lot more good stuff from Posey as the season progresses.
