A small group of computer experts, that tries to find security gaps, say they exploited an opening in AT&T's website, to find numbers that reveal the email addresses of iPad users.
AT&T issued an apology for the security breach.
It is also contacting all 114,000 customers whose email addresses and iPad IDs may have been obtained.
AT&T is the only U.S. provider of wireless service for the iPad.
