The shooting was reported at about 10:40 p.m. in the 5000 block of State Avenue, according to police Sgt. Mitch Peixoto.
The victim was standing in front of a truck when a white-colored vehicle drove by and someone fired multiple shots at him before driving away, Peixoto said.
The victim was struck by two bullets, and was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center to be treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening, according to Peixoto.
