About World of Color:
The World of Color nighttime water spectacular weaves water, color, fire and light into a kaleidoscope of fantasy and imagination. More than 1,000 jets of water form incredible shapes in time to the music as Disney characters come to life on a shimmering veil of mist.
Six years in the making, World of Color is designed to dazzle. Covering more than an acre, the attraction features more than 1,200 lighted fountains capable of shooting cascades of water up more than 60 metres in the air.
Launched June 11 with a red-carpet gala and media event, the World of Color attraction is the first volley in an estimated $1.2 billion upgrade to Disney's California Adventure, situated beside the original Disneyland location in Anaheim, California.
Thirty high-definition projectors will show clips from Disney films on the world's largest projected water screen - a wall of water measuring 116 metres by 15 metres .
The highlights include animated sequences from Walt Disney's classic 1940 animated classic Fantasia and the Disney-Pixar film WALL-E.
