76 people suffer bee stings at Alameda County Fair

A swarm of bees were disturbed during the Alameda Co. Fair fireworks show and up to 100 people were stung.

A swarm of bees were disturbed during the fireworks show at the Alameda County Fair and 76 people had to be treated for bee stings.

Around 9:40 p.m. a swarm of bees were disturbed during the fireworks show at the Alameda County Fair.

The bees stung 76 people in the grand stand area. Some of the guests were stung one time and others were suffered multiple bee stings.

Emergency responders set up a treatment area near the race track.
