Tacoma feels impact of Mehserle verdict

The fallout from the BART shooting trial extended into Tacoma, Washington.

Police say an officer was awakened around 2:30 a.m. to the sound of windows being smashed in the patrol car parked outside his car.

The damaged car had been spray-painted with the words "Oscar Grant was here."

The officer chased two men wearing hooded sweat shirts and no arrests were made.
