The California Highway Patrol is blaming drunk driving for the death of a 4-year-old boy in the South Bay.

Officers arrested James Francis Lee of San Jose on vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI charges Sunday night.

Investigators say the boy died after his family's pickup was rear-ended by Lee's truck.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near Bailey Road for about an hour Sunday night.

The coroner identified the victim as Jose Cortez-Diaz of Gilroy.

Both of his parents escaped serious injuries.
