There has been a very happy ending for 80 homeless hens in Marin County. All of them were adopted from the Marin Humane Society within 29 hours of arriving at the facility.

The 80 birds were part of a flock of 200 hens that were recently treated for leg band injuries.

The rest of the birds, which are bred to produce 250 eggs a year per hen, may now be brought to the Marin County facility for adoption.
