An advisory board is recommending that New York create a new post dedicated to fighting the small bloodsucking pests.
Bed bugs have spread throughout the city in recent years. The czar would be in charge of all efforts to fight them.
Bed bugs are about the size of an apple seed.
It's not just beds they burrow into.
They can slip into floor cracks, wall outlets, picture frames, lamps and just about any tiny space.
